news from the peloton

TIT Ride, Rainier, June 23, 2004

With the Cascade Classic looming on the horizon, Russy and Luhndy "went large" in preparation for the hilly stage race by doing Paradise, Stevens Canyon, Backbone, Cayuse, Chinook and back on June 23 - 6 passes, 14k plus of vertical, 6:30 hours and 103 miles.

"This was perfect weather for a monster," exclaimed Luhn, "very warm but the clouds rolled by just when we were getting crispy. Epic!"
